The first time William Klayer saw his name listed in the credits he was watching Friday the 13th while sitting in a grindhouse theater on 42nd St. in New York City. Based in The Big Apple, his career has led him to have the honor of shooting some of the most iconic television shows ever set there. As an on set electrician running cables through the gutters and mounting lights on rooftops, he worked his way to being a cinematographer for over 2 dozen TV series.

From the original run of Law & Order, to extensive work on comedies like 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, his love of the city shows in every frame. He even spent time pretending to be in NYC while shooting the series Suits in Toronto. Most recently he was a director of photography for the CBS television series FBI Most Wanted. He has had the privilege of bringing some of the finest and funniest actors in entertainment into homes across the world.

As a director, he is most proud of his award winning short film Under a Stone. He is also a prolific Polaroid pack film photographer that he has used to document many of his on-set adventures.
